Dr. Zhang Daning is an honorary dean of Shijiazhuang Hetaiheng Hospital.

Clinical Expertise:
Master Zhang specializes in urinary system diseases (such as acute and chronic nephritis, kidney stones, uremia, etc.), male prostatic diseases (such as acute and chronic prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, etc.), sexual dysfunction (such as decreased libido, impotence, semen leakage, premature ejaculation in males, and sexual apathy in females), research on delaying aging and maintaining youth, and diabetes.
Master Zhang has dedicated himself to the education and research of TCM nephrology for many years. He is actively involved in clinics, wards, and laboratories daily, inheriting the valuable experience passed down from his ancestors while enhancing and developing it with modern scientific methods. Combining Western medicine diagnosis, he has made significant contributions. He has proposed two new theoretical viewpoints: the "Heart-Kidney Axis System Theory" and the "Kidney Deficiency and Blood Stasis Theory and Kidney-Tonifying and Blood-Activating Method," which are recognized by the medical community both domestically and internationally.
Education and Mentorship:
-Graduated from Nankai Middle School in Tianjin in 1961.
-Graduated from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1966.
Academic Leadership:
Edited the first "Practical Chinese Medicine Nephrology" and "Dictionary of Chinese Medicine Nephrology" in China, scientifically and rigorously defining the concept, scope, and basic principles of syndrome differentiation and treatment of "TCM Nephrology," separating it from Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine to form a systematic and complete clinical discipline.
Published more than ten academic monographs, including "Research on Kidney-Tonifying and Blood-Activating Method in Chinese Medicine," "Kidney-Tonifying and Blood-Activating Method and Kidney Diseases," "Essence of Ancient and Modern Nephrology Medical Cases," "Zhang Daning Medical Thesis Collection," "Fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine," and "Commonly Used Proprietary Chinese Medicines."
Published over a hundred papers in important domestic and international academic journals, exerting a significant impact in both Chinese and Western medical academia.

-One of the first experts to enjoy special government allowances from the State Council.

Additionally, in August 1998, Master Zhang's name was used by the International Astronomical Union to name Asteroid 8311 newly discovered by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is the first asteroid named after a medical scientist in the world.
